Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt exactly know how to make a good show! Their enticing presence in 23^rd International Palm Springs Film Festival on Saturday at the Palm Springs convention center, California has caught all the pairs of eyes. The couple has magnetic charisma and they always succeed in creating a charming appeal for themselves.

This time Brad Pitt appeared at the red carpet in black suit with his sensual partner and a cane, surprisingly a new accessory. The secret to this new addition to his accessory was unveiled as an accidental injury to his ACL (a ligament in the knee). The Moneyball star reveled that he slipped while carrying his daughter Vivienne down the hill and in order to protect her, he got his knee injured.

Brad is even looking smart with a cane and Angelia said that she has no problem with the cane. In fact she thanked to brad for his valiant action that their daughter is safe.

Even during the whole event Angelina was teaming up with Brad in order to ensure that he would not topple over. Her radiant looks were greatly complementing Brad’s daring attitude and the two were looking the most loved-up couple of the festival.

Angelina Jolie’s wrinkled backless dress with luminous bold diamond studs was a perfect red carpet plum. It’s not for the first time that Angelina and brad have made a sensual red carpet appearance but of course every appearance of the couple is as new and bewitching as the first one.

Gucci has created a limited edition of bracelets to benefit Earthquake and Tsunami ravaged Japan get back on its feet. The $100 non – allergic white leather bracelet features white and red wed, a buckle that’s in the shape of fashion house’s trademark horsebit and a medallion that says ‘Gucci Loves You’.

Starting from today these bracelets will be sold at Tokyo’s flagship store of Gucci and soon it will be distributed worldwide in Gucci’s flagship stores in United States, Europe and Asia.

All the proceeds of the sale of these ‘Gucci Loves You’ bracelet will benefit Japanese Red Cross society. A beautiful gesture for a noble cause I would say!

Elizabeth Taylor’s Jewels to be auctioned by Christie’s

According to an American Magazine, Elizabeth Taylor’s magnificent diamond jewelry collection and many other of her antique jewels will soon be auctioned by Christie’s. This news is yet not confirmed by Chritie’s, it is speculated that the collection would be worth at least $150 million.

Taylor who died at the age of 79 due to congestive heart failure on March 23, possessed some of the finest jewels in the world.

Peter Sedghi, President of Luxury Jewels of Bevery Hills said, “To be honest, she knew more than I did [about jewelry]. When you would show her stones, she would tell you the origin, if it’s good quality, bad quality, where it came from. She had a collection like I’ve never seen before.”

Sedghi also said that many of her jewels had emotional value to them. One such was 33.19 carat Krupp Diamond that her fifth husband Richard Burton gifted her.

In 2002, Elizabeth Taylor hosted an exhibition of her much prized jewelry for the public. The exhibition included famed Krupp diamond (in picture above), La Preregina Pearl by Cartier and the huge heart shaped Taj Mahal diamond. The proceeds of the exhibition went to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

People’s Choice Awards 2011

The night before we saw one of the most awaited award nights and a great beginning to the new year. And that too with 175 million votes. We are talking about People’s Choice Awards 2011 that saw many expected and many unexpected wins.

Selena Gomez is my new favorite since the night, although I know only one song of hers. She beat Justin Bieber in the category of ‘Favorite Breakout Artist’ and that was a surprise.

Another unexpected win of the night was that of Kriten Stewart who beat the biggies such as Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston in the category of ‘Favorite Movie Actress’.
